TURNING DEVICE FOR TURNING BODY ON MOVABLE BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate weight increase applied to a movable body by a turning means of a turning body provided turnably on a plane in parallel with the upper face of the turning body on the movable body oft a machine base, and reduce a load of a drive shaft of the movable body. ;SOLUTION: Two ball screws 6, 8 are provided on the center of a X-axis guide 1a on a saddle, a nut of the ball screw 6 is fixed to a middle base 2, and a nut 9 of the ball screw 8 is movable along the X-axis guide 2a of the middle base 2. Guide grooves 18 in the radial direction engaging with turning drive pins 17 standingly provided on the nut 9 are carvedly provided on the bottom face of a cutter base 4, and a cutter base 4 can be turned by movement of the nut 9 on the middle base 2. The two ball screws 6, 8 are simultaneously rotated at same speed so as to move the middle base 2, the ball screw 8 only is rotated during stopping the middle base so as to turn the cutter base 4, and the two ball screws are rotated with indicated phase difference so as to turn the cutter base 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
