PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance oceanographic research ship to prevent deterioration of performance of an acoustic apparatus even in a high speed area by a method wherein the acoustic apparatus is not covered with air bubble group. ;SOLUTION: In an oceanographic research ship 1 wherein an acoustic apparatus 3 to measure submarine topographies protruded from a ship bottom 2, the width of a neck-form connection part 4 between the acoustic apparatus 3 and the ship's bottom 2 is decreased to a value lower than the width w_a of the acoustic apparatus 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
