SILICATE-TYPE SOIL STABILIZATION GROUT AND WORK OF STABILIZING GROUND BY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil stabilization grout which is of type of a medium solidification speed and suffers less syneresis in the ground to which it is applied by mixing an aqueous alkali silicate solution with a specified amount of an aqueous curing agent solution containing NaHCO₃, KHCO₃ and K₂SO₄ in a specified ratio. ;SOLUTION: A soil stabilization grout prepared by combining an aqueous alkali silicate solution (A) with an aqueous curing agent solution (B) containing bicarbonates and having a gel time of 5min or longer, wherein component B comprises sodium bicarbonate (B₁), potassium bicarbonate (B₂) and potassium sulfate (B₃) in such amounts that the weight ratio B₁:B₂ is 56:44 to 75:25, and 4-20 pts.wt. B₃ is present per 100 pts.wt. total of the bicarbonates, is provided. Component B is used in an amount of 34-44 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. SiO₂ component in the grout. This grout satisfies the condition that when Solution A prepared by using No.3 sodium silicate specified in JIS K-1408 and solution B are mixed with each other in equal amounts, the mixture cures after 5min or later at 20°C and gives a cured body having a uniaxial compressive strength of 0.10kgf/cm² or above after one day, and the amount of the water of syneresis is 15vol.% or below based on the grout.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
