EXTRACTION OF MEDICINAL INGREDIENT FROM HERB, CRUDE DRUG OR PRESCRIBED CHINESE MEDICINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently extract the above medicinal ingredient so as to enable pharmaceutical preparations with its sustained efficacy to be produced, by mixing a filtrate obtained by immersing a herb, crude drug or specified Chinese medicine in a specific mixed liquid followed by filtration with another filtrate obtained by decocting the residual dregs with water followed by filtration. ;SOLUTION: A herb, crude drug or specified Chinese medicine is immersed in a water-ethanol mixed solvent (e.g. weight ratio: water/ethanol = 7:3) for a long time e.g., at room temperature for 30 days followed by filtration to obtain a filtrate A₁ and dregs B₁. Next, water is added to the component B₁ followed by decoction e.g. at about 95°C for 50-70min and then filtration to obtain a filtrate A₂ and dregs B₂. Subsequently, the filtrate A₁ is mixed with the filtrate A₂ and, if needed, a product prepared by enzymolysis of the dregs B₂ is added to the above mixture.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
