PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent clogging in a suction inlet and a suction pipe and suck all of the precipitated detritus in a detritus pit. ;SOLUTION: This detritus sucking apparatus is provided with a screen 8 so installed as to cover an aperture part of a pit 4 of a detritus tank 1, a suction system 9 to suck and remove precipitated detritus staying in the pit 4, an air supplying system 11 to intermittently supply air for stirring to the pit 4, a second air supplying system 14 to intermittently supply air to the periphery of a suction inlet of a detritus sucking pipe 13 composing the suction system 9 and the side wall face of the pit 4 is tilted at 60 degrees or more to the horizontal face and its bottom part has a narrow surface area about 1-3 times as wide as the cross-section surface area of the detritus sucking pipe composing the suction system.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
