EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT USING SATELLITE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the system to have proper provision for emergency such as hijack by informing a state in an aircraft to a person on ground by the operation from a person in the aircraft or the person on ground. ;SOLUTION: On the occurrence of emergency such as hijack in an aircraft, when a pilot or the like depresses an emergency switch or each switch, or a monitor start switch of a ground equipment 10 installed on ground is depressed and monitor start information is received by a satellite communication antenna system 6 via a ground aircraft earth station 5 and an INMARSAT satellite 4, then 1st video camera 7a-N-th video camera 7b are operated. The 1st-N-th video signals are processed, still image information is generated and it is sent from a satellite communication antenna system 6 in a facsimile form and printed out by the ground device 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
