PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production process for a functional membrane which can give desired characteristics by allowing a function-imparting material to be adsorbed to a substrate by a simple process and can inhibit the surface status and quality of the formed membrane from deteriorating. ;SOLUTION: A membrane 2 of an organotin compound containing polystannane is formed on a substrate 1. The organotin compound membrane 2 is irradiated with a chemical radiation in its prescribed area. The exposed area of the organotin compound membrane is impregnated with a function- imparting material and the organotin compound membrane impregnated with the function-imparting material is cured.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
