FLEXURAL DEFORMATION CONTROL TYPE EARTHQUAKE DAMPING FRAMEWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the degree of freedom in architectural planning by making the flexural deformation prevailing for a core wall having openings. ;SOLUTION: This earthquake damping framework has a core wall 1 having a polygonal plan shape. Openings 2 are provided in core wall 1 of each surface on each floor by deviating the positions in height direction, and a passage to the inside of the core wall 1 is made. A top beam 4 is provided at the top of a high-rise building, supporting columns 3 are vertically built at the tips of the top beam 4 when seen planwise and the supporting columns 3 and top beams 4 are connected together through oil dampers 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
