PURPOSE: To automate the measurement of the amount of urine and the specific gravity of the urine and to automatically correct an error due to the adhesion of dregs of the urine by a method wherein a platform scale on which a urine sampling cup is placed, a float, for specific gravity, which is suspended on the urine sampling cup so as to be freely adjustable and which is sunk inside the cup and its correction device are installed. ;CONSTITUTION: A name, a number and the like are registered through a keyboard 18, and a patient then sets a urine sampling cup 4 on a platform scale 3. Then, a motor 16 is operated by a signal from an automatic control part 17, a piece 12 at a shaft 13 is moved downward, and a float 8 for specific gravity is sunk in urine 7. At the same time, a measuring device which is built in the platform scale 3 measures the amount of the urine, and the amount is displayed on a digital display part 19 together with the specific gravity of the urine. At this time, a scale 10 for correction control corrects a change in the specific gravity of the urine due to the adhesion of dregs of the urine.
