PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve correctness and preciseness of urine quantity and urine specific gravity measurement by providing an automatic control means for controlling a means for measuring the specific gravity and quantity of sampling urine. ;SOLUTION: When a urine cup 6 containing urine is set in an insertion window 5, a patient's name is automatically identified by a bar code reader 8, and the patient's name is displayed on a display window 22. When a start button is pressed, the cup 6 is inclined to pour urine into a urine funnel 3, and the weight is measured by a load cell 4. A valve 11 is opened to pour the urine into a fixed capacity injection cylinder 10, where the specific gravity of the sampling urine is computed, and the urine quantity (capacity) is measured. When a three-way valve 13 is shifted and connected to a 4% dispensing cylinder 12, 4% of urine is injected into the cylinder 12, and when the three-way valve 13 is shifted, the urine in the cylinder 12 flows into a sampling cassette 14. The valve 11 is then opened to discharge the urine in the cylinder 10 into a catch basin 15.
