PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vasoocclusion useful in blood vessel treatment by winding a helical coil into a secondary coil shape, arranging two longitudinal axes in the secondary coil shape, and extending the helical coil loop independently around the longitudinal axis. SOLUTION: Each focal axis 102 of the embolic coil 100 is parallel to the blood vessel lumen where the coil is finally positioned. The static focal axis 102 constructs a three-dimensional space in the embolic coil 100, the expanding of which in the blood vessel lumen produces large area or region of the embolic structure. The repeated unit 106 is a single space in the embolic coil 100, in which the wound coil returns to the similar point on a particular focal axis 102. The large effective diameter 108 is the largest relaxed dimension perpendicular to the focal axis 102 measured only in the relaxed state. The small effective diameter 110 is the smallest diameter perpendicular to the focal axis 102 measured when the embolic coil 100 is in the relaxed state.
