PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a patch process during the operation of a computer system. ;SOLUTION: A processor information storage area 1 shows whether or not each processor stops. A top priority setting means 11 gives the top priority in the system to its process. A processor stopping means 12 stops all processors which are in operation except the processor where its process operates and stores the processor stop state in a processor information storage area 1. A segment changing means 13 changes the segment. A processor restarting means 17 starts the processors which are stopped by the processor stopping means 12 by referring to the processor information storage area 1.
