CUSTOMER GUIDANCE METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC TELLER MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load of a remote teller when a customer of an ATM (automatic teller machine) is guided. SOLUTION: An auto-phone 3 placed adjacent to an ATM 2 is electrically connected to the ATM 2 and also connected to a telephone 6 placed at the side of a remote teller 8 via a public network 4. When a customer 7 takes up the auto-phone 3, an inquiry request signal is transmitted to the ATM 2 from the auto-phone 3. Receiving the request signal, the ATM displays the items that can be assumed on its input display screen to make the customer select these displayed items. Then the ATM 2 outputs the routine answers to the selected items and guides the customer 7.
