PURPOSE:To keep the exactness of time counting data and to attain the high speed access by constituting the device so that after a read period is finished, time counting data of a time counting data storage means is corrected to correct time counting data at the present time point by using a counting value of a count-up signal counted in this period, and thereafter, updating is restarted. CONSTITUTION:At the time reading time counting data, a time counting operation of a counter part 4 is stopped, and even if a count-up signal for ticking a timepiece time is generated while the time counting data is being read, its count-up signal is held. Subsequently, when a read operation of the time counting data from the counter part 4 is finished, and the time counting operation of the counter part 4 is started again, a signal which holds a count-up signal generated at the time when the time counting data operation is being stopped is outputted to the counter part 4, and the number of times of count-up is corrected immediately. In such a way, the time counting data of the counter part 4 can be set to exact time counting data of the present time, and also, the access time can be quickened.
