PURPOSE: To provide a multistory parking garage that is advantageous to equipment cost and running cost, capable of applying a slat conveyor to its delivery stages and of making a travel carriage compact in size and lighter in weight and of enlarging the volumetric efficiency of this parking garage by reducing the height in each storage rack. ;CONSTITUTION: Two slat conveyors 10 and 11 being excellent in safety are installed in a delivery stages 2A and 2B, while a firk-form conveyor 20 is installed each in two delivery elevators 3A and 3B, whereby automobiles are transferrable over the delivery stages 2A, 2B and the elevators 3A and 3B. In addition, a movable fork 40, an expansible mobile mechanism 47 shifting and driving this movable fork 40, and a hydraulic cylinder making the movable fork 40 go up and down are all installed in a travel carriage 4, through which the automobiles are transferrable over this travel carriage 4 and the delivery carriages 3A and 3B. Moreover, a stationary fork 70 is installed in a storage rack 5, and likewise the automobiles are transferrable extending over the travel carriage 4 and the stationary fork 70 by means of another expansible mobile mechanism 45 and a lifting means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
