PURPOSE: To obtain a latex paint blend excellent in wet adhesion, cleaning resistance, etc., by incorporating a latex polymer of a reaction product of a specific monomer and a cyclic imidazolidinone at a predetermined weight ratio. ;CONSTITUTION: A monomer selected from 1-4C alkyl esters of (meth)acrylic acid, vinyl esters of a 1-25C linear or branched carboxylic acid, styrene, 1-4C substituted styrenes and halogenated styrenes is prepared. Then, 100 pts. this monomer and 0.5-5 pts. cyclic imidazolidinone of formula I (wherein R¹ is linear or branched 1-6C alkyl or hydroxyalkyl; X is a divalent group selected from groups of formulae II, III, IV and V; R is H or methyl; m is 0-5; n is 1-5; R² is H or methyl; R³ is H or a group of formula VI; R⁴, R⁵ and R⁶ are each H or linear or branched alkyl) are reacted.
