PURPOSE: To make efficient winding work of a slit winding device by automatically controlling a series of operations by sequential control wherein a single body core pipe having the wide width is held by core pipe mandrels and cut into a plurality of narrow core pipes, and a plurality of cut and narrow core pipes are integrally held, transferred, and received onto a core pipe receiving stand. ;CONSTITUTION: Single body core pipes 15, 16 having the wide widths are taken out by an air cylinder 49 and a core pipe grip 51 arranged near one side of a turret device 21 one by one, gripped, and inserted into one side of core pipe mandrels 24, 25. A core pipe cutting device is provided with a cutting blade 60 on the tip of a cutting arm 59 and cuts the single body core pipes 15, 16 having the wide widths, and held by the core pipe mandrels 24, 25 into the narrow core pipes according to the required numbers. The integrated narrow core pipes held by the core pipe mandrels 24, 25 are drawn out onto a core pipe receiving stand 77 raised by a core pipe transferring device 55' in a core pipe drawing device 55.
