PURPOSE:To easily inspect the existence of troubles and defective parts of a magnetostrictive torque sensor. CONSTITUTION:As for a pair of detection coils 5 and 6 corresponding to the magnetic anisotropic parts 2 and 3, a signal processing circuit is constituted by installing each signal processing part. An inspection resistor Rc for generating imbalance between one signal processing part of the signal processing circuit and the other signal processing part is installed. The function of the signal processing circuit is inspected from the output signal of the signal processing circuit in the case where the inspection resistor Rc is operated.
