PURPOSE:To improve profitability due to curtailment of steel weight, strength of a joint part, and water cut-off property, in a steel concrete composite segment constituted by forming a segment ring out of only a steel shell, and then filling concrete therein. CONSTITUTION:An opening part 7 is provided on the rear face of a steel shell constituting a composite segment on which jack thrust is not applied. The openings 7 is provided with a rear part side plate 4b having the width capable of being provided with seal material 8. A front part side plate 4b on which jack thrust is applied, is provided with an angle shaped steel 31 constituting a joint between rings, and the angle shaped steel 31 is engaged with a rear part side plate 4b of a newly assembled steel shell from the tunnel circumferential direction. The angle shaped steel 31 functions as a guide member at sending out the steel shell in the condition engaged with the rear part side plate 4b. By filling concrete in the steel shell, concrete is extended over from the opening part 7 to the joint part between rings, and hence strength of the joint between the rings and water cut-off property can be insured.
