PURPOSE: To readily secure strong force of binding of new and old wefts by mutual welding and to facilitate automation in a device for bonding yarn of a cop changing device for weaving machine. ;CONSTITUTION: A pair of locating pins 58 for hanging old weft 4 drawn out from an old cap of a shuttle having consumed a given amount of weft and new weft 45 pulled out from a new cap to be used next to a cop storage device in a figure eight shape of crossing at three points are stood on an anvil 62 of a welder 56. Each point of intersection of both the hung wefts is held between a welding horn and the anvil and welded. The welding positions by the points of intersections formed by hanging both the wefts on the pins and mutually crossing become fixed positions to facilitate automation and to obtain strong force of binding by welding at three points.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
