PURPOSE: To confirm the propriety of a design reference at the time point when parts are arranged and to decide the possibility of wiring at the time point, when a rat nest is generated, and in the middle of wiring. ;CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a storage device 4 equipped with a design data base 41, a rat nest storage part 42, a wiring possibility arranging part 43, a XY idle grid number arranging part 44 and XY cross rat nest number arranging part 45, a processor 3 equipped with an updating part 32 for updating respective rat nest and wiring possibility arrangement, XY idle grid number arrangement and XY cross rat nest number arrangement for each change of the design data base 41 and a comparing part 33 for calculating output information from the compared result of the respective XY idle grid number arrangement and XY cross rat nest number arrangement, and output device 2 equipped with a display part 21. While estimating mesh-shaped grids from the design reference point of PWB, the designing method is executed to provide wirings/ through holes on the intersections of the grids.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
