PURPOSE: To provide a reverse flow preventing regulator with high reliability by which reverse flow of gas inside a meter is prevented even if a pressure on a secondary side is temporarily increased above that on a primary side. ;CONSTITUTION: A regulator main body 3 is arranged in the middle of a gas pipe line 1, while the first pressure chamber connected to the gas pipe line 1 in the upstream beyond the regulator main body 3 and the second pressure chamber 14 connected to the gas pipe line 1 in the downstream beyond the regulator main body 3 are arranged, and a pilot regulator 10 provided with a valve function, by which a valve is opened if the pressure in the first pressure chamber 13 is higher than that in the second pressure chamber 14 and is closed if the pressure in the first pressure chamber is not higher than that in the second pressure chamber 14, is arranged. The third pipe 22 serving as a regulator controlling line is arranged, and its one end side is connected to the first pressure chamber 13 of the pilot regulator 10 via an orifice, while the other end side is communicated with a pressure controlling chamber 8 in the regulator main body 3 and its downstream via a venturi 23.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
