PURPOSE:To make a dielectric constant larger and a temperature characterisitic better as well as a dielectric loss smaller by containing a specified amount of MnO2 and Y2O3 in a main component consisting of TiO2 and Sr specified in a mole percentage. CONSTITUTION:A condenser is provided with an electrode 11 which is composed of Al, Au, Ag, Ni or the like each on upper and lower surfaces of a dislike dielectric ceramic layer 12, by way of example. This dielectric ceramic layer 12 is made up of burning a ceramic forming constituent that contained a MnO22.0-5.0 mole part and a Y2O30.05-0.30 mole part in a main component 100 mole part consisting of TiO250.20-53.50 mole% and SrO49.80-46.50 mole%. The formed ceramic layer 12 contains a lot of crystal grains in a semiconductor ceramic in the shape of having the insulating layer 21 formed in a grain bound ary interposed. Thus, such a condenser that is large in a dielectric constant, good in a temperature characteristic and less in a dielectric loss can be manufac tured.
