PURPOSE:To attain the high speed of the taking-out of a fuzzy rule from a memory, and the input and output access of a fuzzy inference by performing an access to the memory or an input and output device by using a code expressing the fuzzy rule used for the fuzzy inference as address information. CONSTITUTION:Fuzzy computers 2-5 are arranged and controlled under a host microcomputer 1 constituted of a microcomputer as a center. Then, for example, the second fuzzy computer 3 is connected with the first fuzzy computer 2, so that a multi-level structure can be obtained. Then, the access to the input and output of an inference is performed by using the code expressing the fuzzy rule as the address information. At the time of performing the access to the fuzzy rule memory, the access is performed by using the code expressing the consequent fuzzy variable of the fuzzy rule as the address information. That is, each fuzzy rule is stored in a position where the address correlates with the fuzzy variable of the consequent part of the fuzzy rule in the fuzzy memory.
