PURPOSE:To obtain a tool suitable for sinking a fishing lure for flatfish by setting a protection piece in a mold, filling and solidifying a foamable resin in the mold and demolding the solidified main body of the sinking tool together with the protection piece from the mold. CONSTITUTION:A protection piece such as a nearly U-shaped metal piece 2 is placed at the tip end of a cavity 3 of a forming mold 1 for forming a sinking tool of a fishing lure for flatfish. A foamable resin 4 for forming the main body of the sinking tool is poured into the cavity 3 of the mold 1 and solidified. The obtained sinking tool composed of the main body formed by the solidification of the foamable resin 4 in the mold and the protecting piece integrated to the lower face of the tip end of the sinking tool main body is demolded from the cavity 3 to obtain the easily attachable objective tool preventing the peeling of the protecting piece from the main body of the sinking tool and the damage of the piece.
