PURPOSE:To allow a wide variation width of cooling heat load by employing a plate fin type heatexchanger having three or more layers and controlling LNG flow corresponding to the low temp. load. CONSTITUTION:LNG sucked from LNG tank is fed through a LNG line 3 to a plate fin type heatexchanger 4. The heatexchanger 4 has a double layer structure, where low temp. layers 4-b for feeding LNG are arranged integrally at the opposite side of a heat receiving layer 4-a for feeding intermediate thermal medium. A circulation pump 7 having an inverter 8 is arranged in circulation paths 5, 5' for intermediate thermal medium where cooling heat loads 6-a, 6-b, 6-c are arranged in parallel. Flow control valves 9-a, 9-b control flow of LNG flowing through the heatexchanger 4 such that the temperature detected through an intermediate thermal medium temperature detector 10 is settled to a setting level.
