PURPOSE: To efficiently carry out the greening by aerial application of a vegetational material, reduce the execution cost and shorten the execution period by filling the specific vegetational material in an applicator, hanging the applicator from a helicopter and carrying out the aerial application of the vegetational material on an area of an object for greening. CONSTITUTION: A vegetational substrate 6 prepared by mixing vegetable seeds 2 with a fertilizer 3 is stirred and mixed with a water absorbing polymer 8 obtained by absorbing colored water 7 in a granular highly water absorbing polymer 11 and swelling the polymer. The resultant mixed vegetational material 1 is then filled in an applicator 13, which is subsequently hung from a helicopter 14 to carry out the aerial application of the vegetational material 1 on an area of an object for greening such as an area sprinkled with ash, e.g. volcanic ash. Thereby, the greening of the vegetable material 1 by the aerial application is carried out.
