PURPOSE:To obtain a liver fenesta dilating and increasing agent of high safety which is used for treating chronic hepatopathy by using pantethine as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:The objective preparation is obtained by mixing pantethine, as an active ingredient, with an excipient such as starch or cellulose, a disintegrator, a stabilizer and other additives in a usual manner. It can be prepared into tablets, powder, granules, capsules or injection. The dose is 200-2,000mg/ day/adult in case of oral administration. The liver fenestae are small pores distributing in the endothelial cells and act as a filter between the liver cells and the blood to transport and exchange the substances. The long-term loading of cholesterol reduces the fenestrae, but the administration of pantethine dilates them and increase the number.
