PURPOSE:To miniaturize the apparatus and to improve the correcting accuracy by measuring and storing the degree of bending previously while sending a stock to be corrected in the axial direction, then, performing the bent deforming to correct based on the degree of bending while sending the stock to be corrected in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION:A work table 11 to load and guide the work 10 is provided and the supporting rolls 12 having vertical axis line and crown rolls 15 are disposed by plural numbers. The work 10 is put between the rolls 12, 15 to move, and the degree of the bend of each position of the work 10 is measured by a detector 14 to be stored into a control device 18 for pressurizing. Then, while sending the work 10 reversely on the table 11, a bend deformation value detected by the detector 14 is computed through the control device and a pressurizing roll 16 gives the correcting deformation to the work 10. The correction of the work 10 for long-sized stock is made possible to correct and its apparatus is miniaturized. Because a proper and necessary correcting deformation is performed, the correcting accuracy is improved.
