Therapeutic agent for displaced abomasum of cattle

PURPOSE:To obtain a remedy effective in quickly curing the abomasum displacement of cattle, by using prifinium bromide as an active component. CONSTITUTION:The objective remedy contains prifinium bromide useful as a parasympatholytic drug as an active component. The remedying effect can be further promoted by using the prifinium bromide in combination with metoclopramide and its salt. The drug is applicable to all kind of cattle (e.g., Japanese cattle, Angus or Holstein) affected with abomasum displacement. It is administered generally as an injection or peroral drug. In the case of using the active components in combination, the mixing ratio is generally 1-10:10-1, preferably 1:1. 0.05-10mg (per 1kg of body weight) of prifinium bromide is administered once a day in the case of single use of prifinium bromide or 0.05-10mg of prifinium bromide and 0.05-10mg of metoclopramide and its salt are simultaneously administered once a day based on 1kg of body weight in the case of combined use of the components.
