Antibody measurement method of chicken infectious laryngotracheitis

PURPOSE:To eliminate the nonspecific antigen-antibody reaction arising from the aging of fowl so that antibody measurement with high sensitivity is enabled by acting a surfactant directly on fowl infectious laryngotracheobronchitis (ILT) virus, thereby providing an antigen. CONSTITUTION:A sample to be inspected is acted on the antigen formed by acting the surfactant directly on the ILT virus and the antibody labeled with biotin is brought into contact with the antibody; thereafter, a labeling enzyme conjugated with avidin is acted thereon. A nonionic surfactant is used as the surfactant for fractionation. Western horse-raddish peroxidase, glucose oxidase, colliform bacilli beta-galactosidase, alkali phosphatase, ferritin, etc., are used for the labeling enzyme. The increasing, maintaining and decreasing movements of the antibodies in the fowl inoculated with live vaccine are thereby exactly detected and, therefore, the conditions of the antibodies retained in the vaccin- inoculated field fowl are exactly recognized.
