PURPOSE:To produce fire-proof louvers, by attaching a thermal expansible fireproof material on the surfaces of fins which are made of thin metal plate with approximately U-shape. CONSTITUTION:A louver 2 includes a steel frame 5, a plurality of metallic fins, and thermal expansible fireproof material 7 attached on the fins. A fireproof door 1 provided with a louver 2 of said constitution functions as a conventional louver allowing air to flow through under ordinary circumstances, but in case of a fire, air ventilation clearance between fins are closed by the expansion of the thermal expansible sheets 7, so that it exhibits its fireproof function equivalent to a fire wall, intercepting air flow. It is also highly reliable without troubles of malfunctioning and maintenance due to absence of mechanical construction. In addition, ventilation capacity, dimensions and shape are easily changeable according to conditions in a work site.
