New karushitonin derivative and its salt

NEW MATERIAL:A compound (salt) wherein amino acid residue in 1-position of calcitonin is a cyclic amino acid residue expressed by the formula (X is S or methylene; n is 0 or 1) and amino acid residue in 7-position is a cysteine residue which may be substituted by a protecting group. USE:A remedy for osteoporosis, bone Behcet disease, hypercalcemia, etc. PREPARATION:For example, proline which is C end amino acid of calcitonin derivative is linked to benzhydrinamine resin and protected amino acid is successively linked from C end side according to amino acid sequence of the calcitonin derivative to provide a protected peptide resin, which is then treated with HF, etc., and elimination from peptide resin and removal of protecting group other than mercapto protecting group is carried out to provide the novel calcitonin.
