PURPOSE: To improve an operating efficiency by incorporating a detecting range of a sulfuric acid ion concentration usable in a common salt manufacturing process, and accurately detecting the concentration on-line. ;CONSTITUTION: A sulfuric acid ion concentration detecting sensor by a wavelength of an intermediate infrared region comprises an optical box 8 for generating an SO degenerate stretching wavelength belonging to an intermediate infrared region and a reference wavelength which is not absorbed by a content ingredient of a matter to be measured, a head 1 holding a matter to be measured and having a matter-to-be-measured tank for generating a signal indicating absorbance of a predetermined wavelength of the matter to be measured, and a controller 3 which inputs a signal to be applied from the head 1 and calculates a sulfuric acid ion concentration according to a calculation formula for obtaining the concentration from the absorbance of the predetermined wavelength.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
