It mainly comprises the application of this product as a therapeutic agent used to treat patients with arteriosclerosis and/or re-stenosis that suffer a serious risk of occlusion of the vessels affected by the disease. Said product can be administered orally or parenterally, combined with other drugs or alone, to patients with arteriosclerotic disease to reduce the atheromatous lesion as well as to prevent re-stenosis of the blood vessels.
