ANCHOR STUD SYSTEM; ANCHOR STUD, TWO PART ADHESIVE CAPSULE, AND TOOL USED TO SET ANCHOR IN A HOLE IN MASONRY

A chemically-set anchor stud system comprises a punch (8) with a blind bore (16) to receive the threaded outer end of the stud (2), and a capsule of resin and hardener. When the capsule and stud are inserted into a hole drilled into masonry, hammer blows applied to the punch to force the stud further into the hole will cause the stud to break the capsule and cause mixing of the hardener with the resin, and extrusion of the mixture outwardly along the shank of the stud, without damaging the threaded outer end of the stud (2). Setting to the correct depth is achieved when the leading end 8a of the punch meets the face of the masonry. IMAGE
