A Method for the determination of oxidant or reductant concentration by thespectrophotometric or visual response in oxidation or reduction of polyaniline isdescribed.. The concentration of the oxidant or reductant in a sample isdetermined by contacting the sample with a thin film of polyaniline in the reducedstate or oxidized state, respectively, and measuring the color change occurringwith the oxidation or reduction, respectively, of the polyaniline film.
