Method for printing images, drawings and/or writing, especially in colour, on a substrate having a hard surface comprising the preliminary stage of photocopying the writing and/or image and/or drawing which it is intended to print onto transfer paper by means of a colour photocopier of the laser type which incorporates the following subsequent operational stages: - printing the photocopied image and/or writing on the said substrate by compression contact using a pressure of between 10 and 150 bar at a temperature of between 80 and 140 degree C for a time varying between 10 and 180 seconds, the various values being dictated by the nature and the size of the substrate being printed; - removal of the paper from the photocopies; - heating the substrate so treated to a temperature of between 150 and 180 degree C for a time of between 5 and 15 minutes in relation to the nature and size of the said substrate; - cooling the substrate and cleaning it with an antisilicone solvent; - spreading a suitable quantity of transparent varnish uniformly over the substrate surface printed in this way; - heating the said substrate so printed and varnished to a temperature between 40 and 80 degree C for approximately 1 hour to effect drying of the varnish.
