Special alloy based on tantalum and gold and other rare metals for use in high strength dental prostheses

A new alloy having a high concentration of gold with which tantalum is associated in an amount in excess of 2%, obtained by first preparing a parent alloy in order to obtain a phase consisting of a complex Pd-Cu-Ta (palladium, copper, tantalum) complex finely dispersed in a metal in a predominant percentage comprising Au-Pt-In- Ag (Gold, Platinum, Indium, Silver) and obtaining a phase with crystals of size 4-10 microns which constitutes a structure of great hardness equal to 270 HV in the state obtained after melting and over 300 HV after hardening at 500 degree C maintaining that temperature for 15 minutes is proposed.
