Bicycle of the type comprising a frame on which are mounted the handlebars, the front wheel forks, the pedals, the saddle and the rear wheel, attached to the pedals by a transmission chain. In the bicycle according to the invention the smaller diameter of the front wheel 2 with respect to the rear wheel 3, and the location of the handlebars 9, 10 fixed to forks 11 with handlebars 9, 10 below the steering tube 4 and the pedals, supported by frame 1 with a substantially horizontal cross-bar at the end opposite that supporting steering tube 4, permit a substantially horizontal prone riding position which appreciably reduces the bicycle's aerodynamic resistance. Multiple support means 21, 23, 24, 25 are provided for the cyclist in order to make the prone position possible without giving rise to breathing difficulties when pedalling. IMAGE
