The cushion is made up of two parts, a lower flat support (2) and an upper pillow (1). There is a cut away section (6) in the pillow, the free area (8) is deep enough to provide a space for the users shoulders to be placed on the support. The support and the pillow are detachable or attached together, in the case of they being detachable, they are held together by knotted bands (12) which are fixed to the four corners of each piece. Alternatively, they are attachable by press fasteners, hooks, sliding clasp fasteners or an adhesive fastening. ADVANTAGE - The pillow is not decentralised by the movement of the users shoulders.
