METHOD FOR COOLING MASH IN A CLARIFYING TUB

In order to cool mash or spent grains in a clarifying tub, water is evaporated from the mash or spent grains in a vacuum-tight clarifying tub by evaporation until the desired temperature is reached. After the desired mash or spent grains temperature is reached, the vacuum in the clarifying tub is abolished by allowing air to flow in, and the clarifying process is continued.
