Ball which comprises a spherical outer wall 1 of flexible, elastic material. The ball has a high relative density, is soft overall and does not bounce. It makes little noise and offers a high degree of resistance to rolling. It is filled with lead pellets 2 and is used for playing games and taking part in physical exercise. In another, alternative embodiment, the ball is almost filled with lead pellets and has a valve so that it can be filled with air. In another alternative, it is also almost filled with lead pellets, but the wall of the ball is very thick and is not hermetically sealed with respect to the air. There are another two alternative embodiments of the invention which are not substantially different.
