The invention relates to a process for recovering monoglyceridesand optionally diglycerides and/or triglycerides as well asoptionally glycerol from mixtures comprising glycerides andglycerol containing glycerides, respectively, by countercurrentextraction with a circulating extraction, said process beingcharacterized in that there is used as an extractantforming a separate phase a hydrocarbon having a density ofmore than 180 kg/m3 and/or trifluoromethane having a density ofmore than 180 kg/m3.
