The use is disclosed of oil-soluble, oleophilic organic liquid phases whichare fluid at a temperature range from 0 to 10 ~C from the correspondingclasses of mono- and/or polycarboxylic acid esters, carbon dioxide ester,fatty alcohols and their oligoalkoxide and/or ethers which constitute the atleast major part of the liquid phase in storage-stable homogeneous mixtureswith guar gum and/or water-soluble guar gum derivatives, to allow their use inwater-based bore-hole treatment media.
