A terminal plant and method for storing and regasifying a hydrocarbon product

A terminal plant and a method for storing and subsequent regasification of a hydrocarbon product, in particular a hydrocarbon product having a high content of gaseous hydrate. The plant comprises at least one storage tank (1) in which the hydrocarbon product is stored until the regasification shall take place, and where the storage tank (1), which may be dimensioned to endure only a relatively low storage pressure (of for instance approximately 1 bar), is adapted to have a low storage temperature so that the gaseous hydrate remains stable during the complete storage period. The terminal plant also comprises at least one smaller dissociation tank (40) which are dimensioned to endure a regasification pressure much higher than the storage pressure. The dissociation tank or tanks (40) are connected to: a heating system (41; 47) adapted to heat the contents within the dissociation tank or tanks (40) up to the regasification temperature; to transport means (30; 17-23, 48) preferably being pressure equalizing and adapted to transfer the gaseous hydrate from the storage tank or tanks (1) in which the storage pressure prevails; and also to separate outputs (42, 45) for gaseous- and liquid components.
