The invention concerns a pair of mechanical objects, i.e. a shaft and flying saucer segment. The mechanism is designed so as to transform a rotary drive force into external thrust in a single direction (semi-gyroscopic effect). According to the invention, the novel flying saucer is in the form of two diametrically opposed segments which achieve the same gyroscopic effect as an integral saucer. In addition, the effect is multiple from the gyroscopic point of view. The mechanism comprises a shaft which rotates a single segment of the flying saucer (2). As this segment rotates, the axis of rotation (3) is displaced only in the selected arc so as to obtain thrust in the desired direction.
