Attachment device for a removable setting (4) for a jewellery item, of the type including co-operating mechanical means (3, 7) for attaching and disengaging the setting (4) to and from the jewel body (1), comprising a threaded stem (3) attached to the jewel body and an internally threaded bore (7a) provided in the base (16) of the setting (4). The device is characterised in that it has two or more palm-leaf pieces (10) each hinged at a first end thereof (11) to the body (1) and provided at a second end (9) with complementary means for engaging and disengaging the setting (4). The device may also advantageously include means (19, 21) for automatically centering the rings (12) of the setting (4) in relation to the palm-leaf pieces (10) after the setting has been screwed on the jewel body (1). The device is useful for any jewellery item, including rings, bracelets, brooches, necklaces, pendants and earings.
