Multicarrier digital signal reducing co-channel interference with an analog television signal, and receiver for such a signal

The method involves using carriers (51) which are spaced at the equivalent analogue TV channel spacing (f1). Each carrier has a number of sub-carriers which are spaced at a frequency df. If the carrier frequency is designated by pv, each sub-carrier generates a frequency pn+nf1, where n is a whole number. The power distribution and digital frequency modulation of the sub-carriers are chosen to produce a robust coding solution, taking account of the position of the sub-carrier with respect to the main carrier.
