A pseudosatellite emitter (1) is stationed at a point (X,Y,Z) which is masked from positioning satellites (S) by undergrowth or other obstructions. The emitter transmits signals coded similarly to those sent out by the positioning satellites (S). A mobile radiolocalisation equipment (2) takes up a number of stations (Pi) whose position may be determined by satellite and also measures at each position the phase of the signal received from the pseudosatellite emitter (1). A radio beacon (5) coordinates the timing at the two stations and the position of the masked point (X,Y,Z) may be determined from the measurements taken.
